For families of people with high blood pressure or diabetes

Did Mum take today’s medicine? Now you’ll know.

homebeat reminds your parent on time, logs each dose with one tap, and tells you when two doses in a row are missed. From Lagos, Abuja or London.

Android first, then iPhone. Free for your parent.

How it works

Three steps, and then you stop worrying about the phone call.

homebeat sits between your parent’s medicine and your phone. Your parent does one small thing each time. You see the result.

  1. Set it up together

Your parent adds their medicines and times on their phone, then invites you with a code. No smartphone? Set it up on yours, and they agree by text message.

  2. Your parent gets a reminder

At each dose time the reminder has two buttons: Taken, or In 30 min. It works without internet. On a basic phone they reply to a text instead.

    1 took it 2 skipped

  3. You see the day

Each dose, when it was taken, and why one was skipped. You can send a gentle “Remind Mum” from your phone, wherever you are.

Alert Mum missed two doses

Sent only when two doses in a row go unlogged, so you are not woken up for one late tap.

Alert Mum’s reading is out of range

When a blood pressure or sugar reading is higher or lower than usual. The app tells your parent to talk to their doctor.

Alert Mum’s Amlodipine is running low

About five days before the pills run out, so the refill happens before a day is missed.

What it costs

Your parentFree
You, the first 30 daysFree
You, after thatA small monthly subscription

Pay through Google Play or the App Store: in naira from Nigeria, or in your own currency from abroad. Following your parent’s day stays free; alerts and monthly reports are part of the subscription.

Privacy and safety

Your parent decides who sees what.

Medicine and health readings are sensitive. homebeat treats them that way under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

Nothing is stored without permission

Your parent agrees before any health information is saved, and agrees again for each person or pharmacy they share with.

Sharing can stop at any time

One tap in the app, and you lose access straight away. Your parent can download or delete everything from their profile.

No medical advice

homebeat never changes a dose or suggests a medicine. When something looks off, it says to talk to the doctor.

No medicines sold

Refills go to the pharmacy your parent chose. Payment and dispensing stay with the pharmacist.

Questions

What families ask first.

Does my parent need a smartphone?

No. You can set homebeat up on your own phone. Your parent then gets reminders by text message and replies 1 if they took the medicine or 2 if they skipped it. They agree to this by text before anything is shared with you.

I live abroad. Will it work for me?

Yes. The alerts and your parent’s day reach your phone wherever you are. You pay through your app store, in your own currency.

Which medicines can it track?

Any tablets your parent takes on a schedule: blood pressure, diabetes and others. You add the name, the strength and the times. homebeat does not decide or change any of it.

Can brothers and sisters follow too?

Yes. Your parent can invite more than one family member, and each one can be stopped separately.

When can I download it?

Soon. homebeat comes to Google Play first, then the App Store. The buttons on this page will work as soon as it is live.

Be there for every dose, from wherever you are.

homebeat is almost ready. Share this page with a brother or sister who worries too.
